About the Collaborative
The Collaborative was formed to track and facilitate the implementation of the 67 recommendations of the 2008 NH Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the future while providing significant economic opportunities across the state.  The Collaborative is in effect “the keepers of the NH Climate Action Plan”.

Collaborative activities include identifying implementing partners who are or could be taking action, developing an inventory of progress against the 67 Climate Action Plan recommendations, working to remove barriers to their implementation, and engaging with a variety of stakeholders.

Types of Implementing Partners

The NH Energy & Climate Collaborative is tasked with tracking and reporting the progress towards implementation of the Climate Action Plan by state and regional networks and institutions. The Collaborative is also tasked with communicating progress made at the local and individual business level. Below are the types of implementing partners.

Networks – a group of institutions and groups, as defined below, that are working together to implement recommended actions in the NH Climate Action Plan within a given sector. An example of a Network: The Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy (EESE) Board

Institutions – a statewide or large regional entity, such as the Regional Planning Commissions, that are working independently and/or within a network, to implement Recommended Actions in their sector. An example of an Institution: NH Department of Transportation

Groups/Individuals - an individual business, organization or municipality that provides a service, program, and/or outreach to implement specific Recommended Actions in the Climate Action Plan. An example of a Group/Individual: Local Energy Committee
