About the Collaborative
The Collaborative was formed to track and facilitate the implementation of the 67 recommendations of the 2008 NH Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the future while providing significant economic opportunities across the state.  The Collaborative is in effect “the keepers of the NH Climate Action Plan”.

Collaborative activities include identifying implementing partners who are or could be taking action, developing an inventory of progress against the 67 Climate Action Plan recommendations, working to remove barriers to their implementation, and engaging with a variety of stakeholders.

The NH Climate Action Plan (Learn More)

The New Hampshire CAP details a plan for New Hampshire’s energy, environmental, and economic development future and calls for two greenhouse gas emission reduction targets:

  1. 20% below 1990 emissions by 2025 (or 44% below 2005 emissions)
  2. 80% below 1990 emissions by 2050

The NH CAP calls for achieving the greatest feasible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while also providing the greatest possible long-term economic benefits.  Everyone – government,  businesses, and individuals – must play a part in reaching the goals in the Plan by improving energy  efficiency and developing renewable energy sources.

Collaborative Social Process Tracking

The Social Process Tracking Database was developed from October 2009 to December 2010. It is a snapshot in time that documents progress towards implementing the NH Climate Action Plan. For tracking future progress, the Collaborative will be developing a Climate Action Plan Scorecard. Stay tuned for more information of the Scorecard
