The NH Climate Action Plan (Learn More)
The New Hampshire CAP details a plan for New Hampshire’s energy, environmental, and economic development future and calls for two greenhouse gas emission reduction targets:
- 20% below 1990 emissions by 2025 (or 44% below 2005 emissions)
- 80% below 1990 emissions by 2050
The NH CAP calls for achieving the greatest feasible reductions in greenhouse gas emissions while also providing the greatest possible long-term economic benefits. Everyone – government, businesses, and individuals – must play a part in reaching the goals in the Plan by improving energy efficiency and developing renewable energy sources.
